I sold my scooter and tried a week without my own wheels. Jeepneys along Friendship Highway are cheap and frequent, just say "para po" when you want to stop.
Grab is easy inside the Freeport, but prices jump when it rains around 5 PM. Tricycles are great for the last few hundred metres into the villages.
Honestly, it worked better than I expected.
Pass your fare forward and the other passengers will hand it to the driver. Took me a while to figure that out.
